Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monthly forecasted targets for sales with upper management and receive appropriate feedback for amendments.
- Receive final budget and allocate to various territories /towns as per their past potential to achieve targeted contributions margins etc.
- Conduct daily analysis to ensure that the devised plan is being followed and provide solutions and alternatives for any deviances/discrepancies.
- Formulate secondary sales plans on monthly / weekly basis to determine how much to order in respective week and to steer secondary sales accordingly.
- Conduct monthly meetings with territory officers and shares monthly/annual sales plan with sales team.
- Perform need-based visits to relevant territories to resolve pertinent issues and steer sales activities as per direction of the plan.
- Motivate and develop the sales team to ensure high performance; Oversees problems arising in market or distribution channels/strategies; Provides relevant and timely solutions/feedbacks.
- Appoint sales teams on various assignments on multiple aspects such as SKUs for e.g. what's its numeric/weighted target, what are its visibility standards etc.
- Review brand's numeric capability, visibility, feasibility and its coverage, based on various communication grounds, in the market; Oversees execution and maintenance of newly developed products in the market.
- Monitor competition and conduct market studies to analyze relevant brand's consumption levels and change in trends, if any; Shares findings with stakeholders so that alternatives can be discussed upon.
- Identify Gaps / new areas of opportunities for sustainable business growth; Ensure infrastructure enhancement as per market expansion needs.
- Develop weak distributors in company's distribution channel and identifies the one's to be replaced; Appointing new distributor and evaluate their performance on the basis of coverage, business with other companies, services level, infrastructure availability, ROI, contribution margin, distribution & warehousing facilities etc.
- Ensure timely and efficient deliveries for stock replenishment to distributors by daily monitoring of their stock status via online portal
Utilize DSR method to identify star performers among company's distributors and further highlight and work upon their shortcoming and failures.
- Communicate all figures such as total secondary sales, total retail sales and total whole sales with the regional office on the day end.
