Job Description
- Plan, Organise and coordinate sales calls to travel agents and develop and grow direct links with key target markets including corporate customers and Government institutions
- Identification of new routes in order to achieve Company’s marketing goals and services level pertaining to the assigned territory
- To prepare the Sales/Business Plan and to allocate responsibilities for the attainment of sales goals and services levels
- Monitor performance of marketing goals and services levels, taking remedy if any shortfalls in consultation with Head – Worldwide Sales
- Produce accurate sales forecasts and give regular updates and insights into revenue performance through professional sales presentations to senior management, government bodies, travel agents and corporate customers.
- Develop and implement suitable sales strategy for the market and ensure achievement of revenue, pax and market share objectives
- Recommend on passenger fare and cargo rate structure to ensure high yield and to maximise the revenue
- To devise, implement, operate and maintain tactical marketing campaigns and other marketing devices to maximise sales
- Liaise closely with the Head – Worldwide Sales in all aspects of medium- and long-term corporate development
- Develop general business opportunities through appropriate selling channels, including but not limited to corporate customers, travel trade, hotel industry, tourism companies, media personnel and exhibition organizers to maximise selling opportunities
- Take immediate decisions in liaison with Head – Worldwide Sales to take care of any situation affecting the load factor/yield
- Reduce costs where possible without compromising revenue/operation/airline image
- Improve Salam Air image through effective media advertisements, personal interactions and through any other industry accepted practice in liaison with marketing department.
- Compliance with all provisions of the local laws applicable and if necessary to meet government agencies/officials and resolve issues of operational importance
- Develop and maintain good relations with Ministry of Transport, Director General of Civil Aviation, Airport Authorities, Security agencies etc.
- Ensure a member of the staff has been appointed as the Emergency Response Coordinator at every station under your purview
- Work closely with airport staff to assist during periods of flight disruption and pax re-accommodating
- Update Management with all relevant statistics on all passenger complaints
- Manage all internal staff issues and set standards for the station to reflect a positive and professional Salam Air Image
- Any other responsibilities assigned by the management as and when necessary.
- Any Graduate (business studies will be an added advantage).
- 10 years of significant work experience in handling sales function of which 4 years in a supervisory role in an airline industry
- IATA basic ticketing course is preferable
- Excellent Communication skills
- English & Arabic is Mandatory
