Fatima Group is hiring for Buyer in Supply Chain Department at Head Office Lahore. The ideal candidate should have the following:
Job Summary:
Manage foreign and local procurement (order fulfilment) of assigned HO / Plants through highest quality and cost-efficient purchase and on time delivery of material.
Qualification: BA/BBA/B.Sc./B.com from an HEC recognized university.
Experience: Minimum 1 to 5 years of experience in procurement & supply chain.
Location: Lahore
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process purchase requisition (PRs) along with approved budget to generate RFQs to relevant supplier as per sourcing strategy, procurement policy & management instructions.
2. Timely arrangement of quotations, making comparative statements and sharing with end users for technical evaluation as per assigned timelines. Ensure maximum utilization of E-bidding
3. Alignment of quotations as per EU requirements and confirm budget availability before proceeding commercial negotiations and award approval.
4. Negotiating the commercial terms based on prices history and market competitiveness with technically qualified bidders and ensure optimum price, competitiveness and quality products. Support sourcing managers for negotiating high value cases.
5. Support sourcing manager in finalization of approval notes.
6. Making purchase order in the system and ensuring accurate punching of agreed commercial terms & delivery timelines and keeping all case files in the system.
7. Timely arrangement of Order acknowledgement and Proforma Invoice from supplier. Coordinating with finance for timely establishment of financial instrument (LC/ CAD/ Advance) for onward sharing with Supplier.
8. Regular follow up with supplier to ensure timely delivery of orders specifically for TA and critical projects.
9. Ensure timely arrangement of shipping documents and Bank approvals to avoid demurrages. .
10. Coordinating and following up with logistics team for timely freight forwarding and customs clearance of foreign shipments.
11. To liaison with End user, Finance, logistics for international movement of goods (Import & export)
12. Coordinating with material warehouse for timely issuance of material receiving report.
13. Process material rejections and coordinate with supplier for earliest resolution.
14. Coordinating with suppliers to submit timely invoices to finance
15. Maintaining status of complete order fulfilment cycle (PR till MRR) on a standardized format and sharing regular updates to all stakeholders.
16. Optimize cost and reduce operational time through Consolidation of PRs.
17. Any other duties assigned by sourcing manager
