Requirements for the position of Assistant Manager Fabric Sourcing
The Assistant Manager Fabric Sourcing will be responsible for supporting the Senior Manager in all aspects of fabric sourcing, supplier management, and product development.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role within the apparel industry. They will have strong knowledge of fabric construction, textile testing methods, and international sourcing practices. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
The Assistant Manager Fabric Sourcing will be based at our head office in Lahore, Pakistan and will report to the Senior Manager Fabric Sourcing.
Description
- Handling fabric sourcing - sourcing of Fancy, Cotton, Lawn and Silk Fabrics etc.) from suppliers
- Placing of production orders; negotiating prices, deliveries and terms, following the Purchasing Procedures
- Handling quality related issues, fabric to be reprocessed and rejected fabrics
- Fabric costing & inventory managemen
