ICI Pakistan Ltd. is hiring an Assistant Manager SAP Basis for its IT function based in Lahore.
Key Skills/Responsibilities:
· Exposure to SAP ERP S/4 Hana and ECC
· Responsible for SAP system administration and user and role management
· Ensure system performance and tuning on SAP
· Conduct SAP backups and ensure disaster recovery management
· Responsible for SAP infrastructure management
· Knowledge of Basis Networking
· Familiar with Linux OS
The SAP Basis Adminstrator is a key position oF SAP ERP team leading the implementation, administration and maintenance of SAP landscape. This position is expected to be proficient in performance tuning, troubleshooting and proactive maintenance with the goal of providing excellent system reliability, performance, along with maintaining system integrity and maximize uptime. Working in an ERP team, the position should be flexible to adapt to dynamic environments, motivated to drive daily operations, recommendations and management of improvement initiatives across the landscape.
Tasks Include :
- Using solid knowledge and best practices, collaborate with cross functional teams and business users to provide the most effective and efficient technical solutions, especially to complex situations, to fulfil the business needs.
- Independently provide solution on projects as well as play a key role in various Basis projects.
- Manage and administer ICI's portfolio of SAP landscape.
- Utilize knowledge and strong expertise in all areas of Application Life Cycle Management to ensure installation, system upgrades, OSS notes, kernel patches, support packages along with providing daily maintenance and production insight and support.
- Maintain the integrity of the SAP environment by managing the correction and transport system (CTS) to ensure all configuration objects are promoted properly.
- Responsible for database administration with special focus on ORACLE, HANA DB along with underlying operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Provide technical support for SAP issues, including the most complex challenges, like system dumps, job management, printer & spool administration along with enabling SAP user community in all matters related to SAP.
- Perform system refreshes, client copies and server migrations as well as scheduled maintenance activities
- Adherence to SAP Basis on-call support.
- Other duties as assigned
