Position: Senior Manager Compliance
Location: Islamabad
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in business administration or any other discipline relating to banking and finance.
- Certification in CRM and AML/CFT (preferably)
- Minimum of 7-9 years experience in compliance and internal control functions preferably in banking
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulating comprehensive compliance program and allied policies & procedural manuals.
- Ensure that guidance and vision provided by Board and Senior Management are effectively translated into operational goals/activities/plans to institute an effective compliance culture in the Bank that promotes and encourages identification and flagging of non-compliance events without any fear of negative consequences.
- Assist Board/Board sub-committee and Compliance Committee of Management in monitoring the entity-wide implementation of compliance program and the level of compliance risk that the Bank could face with at any given point in time.
- Maintain robust systems and procedures to carry out AML & CFT related responsibilities as stipulated in relevant SBP instructions isued from time to time.
- Organize activities in a way that the approved compliance program is rolled out seamlessly and successfully across the organization and it covers all business segments & areas, functions, branches where compliance risk exists.
- Assist in developing and implementing a communication process to ensure laws, regulations, rules and policies are shared with relevant functions of the Bank.
- Ensure and enforce consumer protections laws.
- Ensure that all employees, especially the line staff understands the regulatory compliance risks inherent in the activities they perform and that policies, processes and resources available are sufficient and effective in managing those risks.
- Ensure that it remains aware of any organizational restructuring/developments or business processes reengineering to facilitate timely identification of new compliance risk.
- Use a range of indicators to identify, assess and monitor the level of compliance risk in the Bank.
- Ensure that all Regulatory returns are submitted to Regulators in timely manner with maximum accuracy.
- Review new products and services (and marketing materials) to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and instructions;
- Assist in developing and implementing a thorough and well documented process which assures the timely correction of identified violations (internally by compliance reviews, internal audit report, regulatory inspection reports or any other source) of all applicable laws, rules, regulations and instructions;
