The Express Tribune is looking for senior sub-editors to join the Social Desk. The ideal candidate must possess excellent writing and editing skills, be able to identify news; and have a deep interest in social issues that matter.
Role Responsibility:
The Writer/Sub-Editor is expected to manage the company's social media accounts, generate ideas and prepare attention-grabbing social posts that focus on pressing issues across Pakistan.
Daily duties will include monitoring social media, making posters/photo shares for stories, managing the company's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts, generating ideas, and taking a lead role in ensuring the timely delivery of news across all social media platforms.
Candidates must have:
- Editorial judgement and news sense
- Detailed knowledge of social issues around the country
- Sharp writing skills
- The ability to respond in a fast-moving news environment
Workspace:
Candidates will follow the hybrid work arrangement, which involves working remotely, for now.
