The eligibility criteria for the position
To be eligible for the position of Workshop Engineer at Pakarab Fertilizers Plant Site, Multan, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university. Candidates with a Master's degree in Engineering will be given preference.
The candidate must also have 6-10 years of experience working in a workshop or factory environment. The candidate should have knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and practices. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is also required.
The ability to read and understand technical drawings is essential. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Sound Knowledge of manufacturing processes, plant machines repair and maintenance, material used in Fertilizer and other process industry.
- Good knowledge of local and foreign vendors for parts manufacturing. Critical rigging, scaffolding standards.
- Safety procedures at process plants.
The responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer
As a workshop engineer at Pakarab Fertilizers Plant Site, Multan, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant's workshop facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment and tools, as well as keeping the workshop clean and organized. In addition, you will be responsible for training and supervising staff in the use of machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling, prioritizing and management of maintenance jobs being done in Workshop.
- Ensuring safety of personnel and area comprising Workshop.
- Effective training and skill enhancement of staff to improve their productivity.
- Formulation of annual budget required for Workshop operation.
- Ensuring maintenance of Workshop equipment like lathe machines, pressure test bench etc.
- Procurement of resources used in Workshop from the annual budget.
- Bringing ideas and implement the same for efficiency enhancement of Workshop personnel and equipment.
