Key Responsibilities
- Planning, scheduling execution of routine maintenance and annual turnaround jobs and project management. This includes job list preparation, resources planning (men and equipment).
- Provides technical assistance to his onsite crew i.e. Electrical Engineers, Craft Foreman and Technicians. It covers a wide range of Generators, Transformers, HT Motors, LT Motors, UPS, MOVs, Synchronous generators, VFDs, AVR, 2MVA/3MVA transformers, protection relay parameterizations and cathodic protection.
- Identifies reliability issues with the existing electrical equipment and plan replacement or innovation in the same to prolong equipment life.
- Execution of HAZOP and PHA as a team member and also be able to lead Incident investigations.
- Development of Feasibility studies of Electrical Equipment
- Enforce PSM as per DUPONT guidelines at Electrical workshop and in field as well for safe operation across site.
- Co-ordinates with Production Department to ensure job availability and Permit issuance in accordance with the maintenance work schedule.
- Checks, verifies and evaluates the purchasing indents, comparative statements of quotations received from vendors and ensures timely PO issuance for the materials and the services that are required for the Electrical Section.
- Recommends performance appraisal of Electrical Staff and ensures skill certifications craft wise in Electrical workshop.
- Must have sound knowledge of Troubleshooting, RCA and repair process of HV, MV and LV Electrical equipment.
- Coordinates with active SLA providers for electrical equipment and ensures periodic visits on time for upkeep of critical machines.
- Ensures energy conservation in Plant operating areas and plant buildings through innovative Energy efficient solutions rather than reliance on conventional means of Electrical services.
- Ensures maximum utilization of high value approved projects under CAPEX (capital expenditure)
- Should have sound knowledge of project planning including BOQ preparation, Electrical scope and package preparation as well as review of As built electrical drawings and protection system to be used.
- Plans the work for the next day and ensures that all necessary materials, tools and drawings are available for job execution.
- Responsible to communicate HSE Policy, procedures, applicable regulatory requirements, significance of PPEs/MSDS etc
- Ensure the provision of all third-party support both on and offshore performs in accordance with the contract deliverables and conforms to statutory regulations
- Keep track of all Electrical testing equipments and ensure yearly third party calibration
- Possess good understanding of Ammonia & Utility processes at a fertilizer manufacturing industry.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Candidate must have prior knowledge and experience of fertilizer/petrochemical industry principles and relevant HSE guidelines.
- Should have good engineering knowledge in the areas of Electrical engineering with awareness of relevant modern standards.
- Excellent communication skills
- Should be a team player and be able to provide cross functional support where necessary
- Should be familiar with NFPA 70B and NFPA 70E as well as applicable IEEE standards for preventive and predictive maintenance of Electrical Equipment.
