>> Senior Executive Skills & Capacity Development:-

Reports to: Director Skills & Capacity Development

Work Location: Isl­­amabad

Maximum Age: 35 years

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 16 years of education with degree in engineering, computer sciences or management disciplines from HEC recognized University.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience of working in skills development and capacity building programs and projects, geared towards ICT sector is required. Must possess strong communication skills, proposal writing and drafting skills. Proficiency in using office productivity applications and tools is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, development, and execution of skills development and capacity building programs and projects for Pakistan’s IT & ITeS sector, including technology trainings/certifications, management trainings, soft skills development, on the job trainings and internships, company level international certifications and compliance to international standards and regulations, Made in Pakistan & localization initiatives etc.
  • Assist in building a strong Industry-Academia linkage to develop globally competitive tech talent.
  • Assist in coordination with PSEB registered IT & ITeS companies, call centers, freelancers.
  • Assist in coordination with relevant public and private entities, and industry associations.
  • Assists in creating and carrying out surveys, collecting and compiling data at industry/company/individual level to enable informed planning and decision making on policies, programs and projects for the development of IT & ITeS sector.

>> Assistant Manager Research & Publications:-

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer, PSEB

Work Location: Islamabad

Maximum Age: 35 years

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 16 years of education with degree in marketing, international business/relations, communications, business analytics, or business administration from HEC recognized local or international University. MBA or a higher degree in Marketing is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technology market research, international marketing, business analytics and consulting, ideally in technology research and/or consulting organization or in international technology firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in designing, developing, and publishing in-depth research studies and reports, including quantitative and qualitative research on Pakistan’s IT & ITeS sector and its sub-sectors, encompassing both the demand side and supply side. Assists in coordination with research and consulting firms as and when required to carry out the research studies and reports, and assists in enabling outreach of publications in international markets and forums.
  • Assists in designing, developing, and publishing whitepapers, surveys, and reports on Pakistan’s IT & ITeS sector covering multiple subjects and areas of interest, including case studies and success stories etc.
  • Assists in generating in-depth trade & intelligence reports and guides on existing, emerging, and potential markets, highlighting the opportunities and challenges as well as recommendations on how to enter and expand business in these markets. 
  • Assists in ensuring availability of intelligence on competing countries to support strategic decision making, by gathering intelligence on marketing and business development strategies of competitor countries for IT & ITeS sector, their products and services, sales, policies, and incentives being offered to IT & ITeS sector.
  • Coordinates with the relevant public and private entities within the country and abroad to carry out given assignments.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of demonstratable experience in international marketing, brand development, organizing trade events and exhibitions, and managing trade delegations and B2B meetings for the technology enterprises is required. About the Role:

The incumbent to work closely with CIDO on the planning, development and execution of projects and programs for skills development and capacity building of IT & ITeS sector, including training/certifications, internships, company level certifications, Made in Pakistan & localization initiatives etc. Responsible for building strong industry-academia linkages and actively engaging relevant government and private sector organizations to create a collaborative environment and synergies for the development of IT & ITeS sector.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 16 years of education in engineering, computer sciences or management disciplines from HEC recognized local or international Universities, preferably with a higher degree in project management, engineering management, or business administration. PMP certification would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years of demonstratable experience in building and managing skills development programs and projects, and leading an organization’s international certifications and compliance, within the technology industry is required. International experience in a similar role will be advantageous. Minimum three years of experience in a relevant leadership role is required, preferably in a technology-driven organization.

About the Role:

The incumbent to work closely with CMO on the global marketing and branding strategy development and implementation to project Pakistan as a preferred Tech Destination for IT & IT-enabled Services. Develop and implement business development strategy with the responsibility of attracting international clientele and investors for Pakistan’s IT and ITeS sector, building new business channels on the basis of Geostrategic alignment of IT & ITeS exports, actively engaging Pakistani diaspora, forging relationships with potential buyers of technology products and services globally, and developing international partnerships at B2B, G2B and G2G levels. Ensure continuous international presence, interaction, and engagements for Pakistan’s IT & ITeS sector in relevant trade events, exhibitions, conferences, and organize inbound and outbound trade delegations, B2B/B2G meetings and roadshows.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 16 years of education from HEC recognized local or international University, ideally with a degree in marketing, international business/relations, or strategic planning. MBA from a top local or international university is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 7 years of demonstratable experience in marketing, strategic partnership development, brand development and business development, within the technology industry is a requirement. Relevant international experience and expertise in developing B2B, G2B, and G2G international relations, will be advantageous. Minimum three years of experience in a relevant leadership role is required.

>>Assistant Marketing Officer-Karachi:-

REPORTING FUNCTION

 2.1             The Assistant Marketing Officer (Sales) reports directly to the station head of the respective Data Node.

 3.0       BASIC FUNCTION

 3.1            To assist in developing and implementing marketing programs, plans, and strategies to increase the sale volume of IP bandwidth and other available value-added services within and outside Software Technology Parks.

3.2            To interact with the IT industry and ensure that PSEB initiatives related to IT/Telecom infrastructure and programs are brought to their knowledge.

3.3            To independently plan and market the bandwidth and other value-added services to the IT and ITeS companies.

3.4            To bring the concerns and issues of clients on bandwidth services to the attention of station head or Director Technical, PSEB and formulate effective solutions.

 4.0      RESPONSIBILITIES

 4.1            Develop a close liaison with the marketing teams of upstream providers and other ISPs to gather information about bandwidth market trends, customers’ requirements, prevailing bandwidth tariffs, future products, and then devise a  strategy to sell the services in the concerned areas.

4.2            Conduct periodic customer surveys in the relevant domain to remain updated about the customer satisfaction level and share the same with Manager Networks to address the issues and keep service level up to the customer satisfaction level or exceed.

4.3            Financial analysis of bandwidth usage for the concerned data nodes and preparation and execution of business strategies to make the data network nodes more viable.

4.4            Meet with subscribers to discuss their requirements and address accordingly.

3.5            Submission of weekly Progress Reports to station head.

3.6            Plan independently and execute the same to achieve assigned financial KPIs.

4.5            Other tasks/duties/responsibilities assigned by station head / Director Technical.

 

5.0       QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

 5.1       BBA/MBA having min 16 years’ education with a specialization in marketing from a reputable and HEC recognized university with the following experience

  1. At least 2 years experience of internet bandwidth sales with a fast-growing Pakistan-based Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  2. Direct cliental interaction with Call Centers & IT companies in major cities like Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
  3. Deep knowledge of the marketing tactics being used with corporate customers to increase the CIR internet bandwidth sales.

5.2       Possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills needed to interact with senior levels of management. 

5.3       Ability to work under pressure and to resolve problems in an efficient manner.
